~Not your usual breathwork & sound workshop ~
Mike & El work with a unique approach to breathwork & somatics, educating you on the nervous system, how physical tension & unprocessed emotions impact your day to day life, mental health and overall wellbeing .. This sessions guides you into your body, connecting you with your breath, movement, vocal expression & emotions. This workshop is for anyone who feels disconnected from their emotions, their body and is looking for a gentle, yet powerful approach to breathwork.
What to expect:
During this 3 hour workshop participants will be working with the Biodynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release System (BBTRS) a unique approach to breathwork & somatic work that works with a combination of 6 main elements of breath, sound, touch, movement, emotion and meditation. We will begin by landing into the space feeling into intentions for the session, then moving into exploring some gentle movement. The invitation here is to allow participants to come into the body and slowly start awakening the internal parts of us.
After a short break we will commence the breathwork journey which will go for around 60mins. Next, we will move into the integration and sound journey which will help to restore harmony and balance to the body’s biological rhythms and processes as well as inviting deep relaxation and the space to integrate the breath session
Breathwork:
Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System® (BBTRS) is a somatic approach to healing that helps release tension, stress, and trauma patterns stored in the body. It’s based on the understanding that trauma isn’t just a psychological experience — it’s held in the tissues, muscles, and nervous system.
BBTRS combines breath, movement, sound, touch, emotion, and meditation — six interconnected elements designed to open the body’s natural pathways for energy and emotion to flow freely again.
Through conscious connected breathing, participants activate the body’s innate self-regulating mechanisms, allowing physical contractions, emotional blockages, and suppressed energy to surface and discharge safely. The process supports the nervous system to come back to balance.
The tensions we store in our bodies due to the ego defences we put in place to feel safe in our infancy, they stop us from interacting with others and our environment from the place of our true authentic selves, from our hearts. This work is focused on releasing these tensions from our bodies, freeing up energy, allowing us to perceive and interact with the world authentically and from our hearts. When we release tension from the body there may be an emotional response or trigger some old memories, you are supported during this process and afterwards should you require it.

Sound Journey:
Sound healing therapy helps to re-establishing correct functioning of the Endocrine system (the glands) which releases powerful healing hormones such as endorphins, serotonin and melatonin into the body. Other natural chemicals are also released, such as nitric oxide, vital for the body’s health and vitality.
The vibrations from the instruments work on the vagus nerve which is connected to the middle ear and flows down to all of our major organs, it is the conductor of our parasympathetic nervous system and when this part of our nervous system is activated is when we feel relaxed and the body restores itself. As well as physical benefits, sound can help us emotionally and energetically.
Contraindications:
There are some contraindications to participating in this work
The breathwork is not suitable for people under the age of 16, with epilepsy, chronic heart conditions, chronic asthma and anyone pregnant in their first trimester and some mental health imbalances including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder.

IMPORTANT:
Please bring blanket, water bottle, journal and pen and wear comfortable, warm clothes. Please refrain from eating anything heavy within and hour or two prior to the session. An eye mask can also be helpful to go deeper (optional).
Please also note that there can be times of emotional release which may come through loud sounds, tears, loud laughter, so if you feel this may impact you throughout the workshop then a private session may be more suited to your needs at this time. (feel free to be in touch to discuss)
It is highly recommended to keep the remainder of the evening free from too much stimulating activity or commitments.

About your facilitators
El - @_eluminate
El is a Somatic Integration Practitioner with a focus on breathwork and somatic work, holding over 500 hours of formal training as an Advanced Practitioner in the Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System (BBTRS), 280 hours of Level 1 & 2 Shamanic Breathwork® training with Venus Rising and trained as a practitioner for Somatic Alignment. El has held many workshops, 1x1 programs and retreats since 2022, and is passionate about continually exploring and refining her own self development and growth, participating in many person development trainings and retreats herself.
Drawing on this depth of training, El creates safe and supportive spaces for people to release tension, reconnect with their bodies, and gain clarity. Her approach weaves together six core elements: breath, movement, touch, sound, emotions, and meditation tools, supporting the release of physical and emotional blockages. El’s facilitation is compassionate, intuitive, and grounded, enabling people to access deeper parts of themselves and move toward greater ease and potential.
Mike - @onayawellness
Mike has spent the last 8 years exploring healing modalities, eastern philosophies, spiritual practices, plant medicines and ceremony. Having spent extended time in South America, China, India and other countries. Mike immersed himself in the practices of Tai Chi/Qigong, various schools of Yoga. Studied various eastern philosophies and trained in several healing modalities such as Reiki, Sound healing, Biodynamic Breathwork Advanced Practitioner, Somatic Alignment and Myofascial Energetic Release, Mike is a student of the red road and a Chanupa carrier in the lineage of the fuego Sagrado de itzachilatlan. Mike’s training and experience allows him to hold a safe, trauma informed container to allow people to move through their processes while feeling safe and held.
