WETLANDS

Approximately half of Waves Farm is comprised of ecologically essential wetlands connected to The Tootgarook Wetland, which is part of the Westernport Biosphere, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.

Historically, this land was drained, clear cut, run with cattle and inundated with weeds.

We're restoring, rewilding, and protecting what was once drained and degraded cattle pasture back to thriving wetland ecosystems.

This work sits at the heart of our regenerative practice: caring for Country, increasing biodiversity, and protecting habitat for the future.
