Kundalini Yogilates with Elle from @lifechangingwellnessau - Wednesdays 7pm
A unique blend of Kundalini yoga, Pilates, and traditional yoga that focuses on breath, movement, and mindfulness.
Breath (Pranayama): Central to Kundalini practice, breathwork helps to awaken energy and enhance focus. Techniques such as alternate nostril breathing or rapid breath patterns can energize the body and calm the mind, facilitating a deep connection to your inner self.
Movements: The movements in Kundalini Yogilates combine flowing yoga sequences with the core-strengthening principles of Pilates. This fusion promotes flexibility, strength, and balance while encouraging proper alignment. You may experience dynamic sequences that incorporate poses like downward dog, warrior sequences, and Pilates mat exercises.
Mind-Body Connection: Emphasis is placed on the connection between breath and movement. Each pose is often synchronized with breath patterns to enhance the flow of energy (prana) throughout the body. This mindfulness helps to cultivate awareness, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being.
Pilates Elements: Core strengthening is a significant focus, with exercises designed to engage and stabilize the core muscles. This not only supports better posture but also enhances the effectiveness of yoga poses by providing a strong foundation.
**Incorporating elements of traditional yoga philosophy, each class includes meditation, chanting, or affirmations to foster a deeper sense of peace and understanding.
Overall, Kundalini Yogilates classes offer a holistic approach to fitness and wellness, encouraging participants to explore their physical limits while nurturing their spirit.
